Eternal Egypt is a website about the Egyptian civilisation, which is more than five thousand years old. This large-scale multi-media project is an initiative of the Egyptian government and IBM. With animations, virtual tours, three-dimensional models, audio fragments and an archive with articles, visitors learn about Egypt's past. Every facet of this extraordinarily rich civilisation is addressed: art, culture, history, religion and mythology, to name a few.

The website enables visitors to journey through eternal Egypt in a variety of ways. A tour is the quickest way to discover what the site has to offer. A number of highlights are also presented, including Tutankhamen's tomb. But above all, the site invites visitors to embark on their own journey of discovery. The visitor can make his or her own way to the temple of Luxor and the Giza pyramid, where one can feast one's eyes during a lengthy tour.
